Who is Jon Harrison
My History
Jon Harrison is the freelance digital artist of JonHarrisonImage.com. A graduate of Visual arts from the University of Salford 2008, he is based within the North West of England within a town called Leigh.
The works on this website comprise new and old pieces of artworks from the last two years using different Medias. During his three year's at Salford University, his fascination with realistic objects engaged in his practices of developing draftsman works. The artistic tools used within his works consisted of charcoal, pencil, pastel and chalk on large fabriano paper. The realistic objects consisted of natural and artificial bones of animals. These were then translated into large scale drawings with the attention to detail. With the success of his works, he has been featured in Salford's Leftfield's website and later showcased his artwork at Salford's 2008 degree show.
Since his graduation of university, he has gained new skills within the media of digital and conceptual art industry. This media has evolved his traditional ways of art working practices and has enabled the development of new skills in creativity and imagination within his portfolio. Some of these new inspirations can be seen within the imaginary forms of dragons and mythological creatures, sublime scene settings of environment and landscapes, historical moments within time, creative digital manipulation and portrait development.

Shakira and Alejandro Sanz - Part 1 ~ (21/02/12)A friend of mine asked me to do a composition of these two Iconic singers, as they wanted Alejandro Sanz and Shakira within the same snap shot. There are very little high quality pictures out there that has both of these singers together in a good composition. Extracting exsisting images, I used certain reference points and techniques to create this first piece within Adobe Photoshop CS5. This is Spanish Musician singer and player, Alejandro Sanz, as the first part of two within this series. As the Grammy Awards 2012 was a big success, I thought it would be brilliant to use these characters in two different lime Lights.
WBFF-David Kimmerle (Gladiator theme) ~ (26/01/12)Originally a professional photograph from U.S. WBFF fitness trainer, model and figure David Kimmerle, this piece was inspired by 'Spartacus-Gods Of The Arena'. David was kind enough to send me some stock photographs, as he wanted some originality towards his figure and to make his photographs different. I took his exsisting photograph, and made different compositions to create an entire new piece that featured him, in a blockbuster style photograph. The theme was gladiators, warriors and warrior training, the use of muscle fitness slogans was added to create a magazine style poster as well. As a good friend, David has been a great person to work with and the images/requests have been a great success within his image. This was a series of photomerged images, blended together within Adobe Photoshop CS5.
Samurai Tattoo Design ~ (12/01/12)A friend of mine within the U.K. wanted a Tattoo design illustrated for them, so that they can have a tattoo design on their right side of their arm. The brief was a Samurai mask, with a fierce face, black and red colours, with just a head. This was a fairly quick piece to create, as the brief was only handed the day before and it was a job rushed at the very end.
